Sometimes we just need a place to be seen and heard. A place to know that whatever aspect of ourselves we bring into the room will be honored, valued, safe and secure. That whatever part of ourselves we experience in this place can be held, experienced and accepted. We have a message to share and before we can even understand it ourselves we need to speak it.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Maya Angelou
Crazy huh! This simple but profound realization was a game changer for me. So, I began to take some art lessons and learned that real art, beautiful art, art that people are drawn too comes from within.
You or someone you care about is experiencing a challenging life change or event.
The pain of not seeking help has become worse than the fear of seeking help. This applies to those who don't look like they are suffering, or are good concealing their feelings.
If you or someone you care about has experienced a traumatic event and are dealing with grief and loss.
Sometimes before we can change our story we need a place to be seen and heard. A place to know that our story will be honored, valued, safe and secure.
Sharing our stories can be scary. We may fear being judged, misunderstood or as if our story isn't good enough. But it’s worth the risk because your story holds a gift... just waiting to be unwrapped.
When I heard my story, I found my gift and Art With Purpose was created.
